Dr Wictome qualified from Liverpool Medical School in 1995. She joined St Hilary Group Practice as a GP registrar to complete her training back in 2001. On qualifying she was lucky enough to be retained, initially as a salaried GP and then became a partner in 2006.
Since Professor Kingsland’s retirement at the end of June 2020, she has become the Senior Partner at the Practice. She is actively involved in both undergraduate and post graduate training.
She has held the position of a Community Clinical teacher at Liverpool University since 2002 teaching medical students within the university campus for 1 day a week. Her other position is as a GP trainer for Health Education North West, and since completing the foundation course in 2010 she has trained GP registrars within the Practice.
Through one of her main interests of minor surgery she has delivered Minor Surgery courses for the Royal College of GPs North West deanery on an annual basis for the last 3 years. She thoroughly enjoys living on the Wirral with her husband, son and daughter.
Dr Clare Malpas

Dr Malpas qualified from Imperial College University of London 1998. She joined St Hilary Group Practice as a GP in 2003. After many years as an undergraduate tutor at the University of Liverpool Dr Malpas has moved to post graduate education and works for Health Education England as Associate Dean for General Practice Liverpool and the Isle of Man.
Dr Malpas was made a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in November 2019. She is married to Lee and lives on the Wirral with their two sons and a daughter. She is also involved in training for GPs through the North West Deanery. She works as a GP appraiser as part of the revalidation process for GPs via the GMC.

Dr Middleton qualified from Liverpool University in 2011. He completed his training here at St Hilary Group Practice and started as a salaried GP in 2016. Dr Middleton became a partner on the 1st of July 2018.

Dr Mercer qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2015 before returning to the Wirral Peninsula to complete his Foundation and General Practice Training. He joined St Hilary Group Practice as a Salaried GP in August 2020. He joined the Partnership in July 2021.
His professional interests include insomnia, pain, mental health and medically unexplained symptoms. He was awarded a Post-CCT Fellowship to develop these interests, culminating in presentations at RCGP Annual Conference and obtaining the DOccMed from the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
Dr Mercer is an officer in the Local Medical Committee and is the Digital Clinical Lead for the North Coast Alliance and Arno PCN SDUs. He lived much of his childhood in Wallasey and still lives in Wirral with his wife, daughter and dog.
